Why Do Yoga?

Yoga therapy is very much about the whole person. Since yoga is a holistic discipline, teaching that the mind, body, and spirit are connected – yoga therapy can go beyond the results that are possible with just physical therapy. It is a highly effective modality for people of all levels, ages, and abilities.
 
Yoga therapists do initial intakes and assessments and work primarily with yoga postures, and clients typically leave with instructions on a custom series of poses that change with each visit according to the clients progress. They also incorporate breathwork and meditation to facilitate deeper overall healing.
 
Many people start yoga because of an injury, however the average teacher does not have much background in advanced anatomy, or the time to safely address individual issues in a packed class. These personalized visits are done on a one to one basis and a custom plan of action is designed specifically for your needs.
